Ere Perez's journey through clean and natural beauty

Australian-based Ere Perez is the visionary founder behind the natural cosmetics brand Ere Perez. With a passion for holistic beauty and a deep respect for the environment, Ere Perez has significantly impacted the world of clean and sustainable cosmetics. Born and raised in Mexico, Ere Perez's journey into the beauty industry was influenced by her heritage, where she learned about the traditional use of natural ingredients for skincare and makeup. Ere Perez's dedication to promoting clean beauty has resonated with consumers worldwide. With a range of cosmetics and skincare products, Ere Perez continues to inspire individuals to embrace natural beauty and make environmentally conscious choices in their daily routines. I met Ere years ago through a mutual friend and connected with her immediately and was delighted to interview her for our latest Hour in Nature Journal.

What’s your favourite thing to do in nature?

I love jumping in the water. I am so lucky to call Australia home with fresh, beautiful blue waters around me. Every time I touch the water I feel like I’m truly connected to Earth.

Many of us are time-poor and might not get out into nature as much as we’d like. Any suggestions for a quick nature-based pick-me-up? Something sensory, experiential…?

The simplest pick-me-up of all - looking after plants at home. Giving yourself some down time in the day is so important. The time to pause with nature truly helps me relieve stress and increase my happiness.

What is your favourite natural scent, and why?

I love wintergreen and tobacco at the moment. It's so fresh yet so intimate.

Is there an animal or plant that you’ve always felt particularly drawn to, and can you explain why?

Definitely agave – it is such an amazing nutritional plant. Plus it makes tequila!
