Our work is loving the world

Our work is loving the world

An appreciation of the farms where we source our essential oils

To paraphrase the poet Mary Oliver (1935-2019), ‘our work is loving the world … mostly standing still and learning to be astonished.’

In the farms where we source our pure essential oils—Koala Eco’s key ingredient—this world is landscaped by citrus orchards and tall, wild eucalyptus; by the dark woody spikes of rosemary and the heady scents of peppermint and lemon myrtle.

Here, it’s easy to stand still and learn to be astonished by nature’s abundance, how it offers us strength and healing through simply growing and being itself. To be humbled by the infinite care that goes into the harvesting of the plants, and to marvel at the time-honoured, painstaking process that extracts and distils the elixir of oils from bark, leaves or peel.

It's work. It’s love. Best of all, it’s our world, loving us back.
