Koala Eco's ingredients are safe, powerful, plant-based and sustainable. We use the highest quality aromatherapy grade Australian essential oils and hold ourselves and products to the highest standards.
We only use sustainably sourced aromatherapy grade Australian essential oils, never synthetic fragrance.
Made with an average of 97.9% natural and plant-derived ingredients and only Australian essential oils.
Our formulations are made with no harmful chemicals. Our products are averaged at 97.9% natural origin based on ISO 16128 criteria. We never use synthetic fragrance in any of our products.
Our formulations have been independently verified to meet the non-toxic health and safety criteria established by Safe Cosmetics Australia and are free from certain harmful or controversial ingredients.
We don’t use sulphates (SLS, SLES, SCS), triclosan, sodium coco sulphate, parabens, phosphates, formaldehyde, MEA, DEA, TEA, synthetic fragrance, chlorine, bleach, petrochemicals, animal by-products, allergens, perfumes, dyes, caustics or any nasties.
Our ingredients can be broken down by natural processes, such as the action of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, etc.), into harmless substances like water, carbon dioxide, and biomass—without harming the environment.
A biodegradable formula ensures that once the product goes down the drain (e.g. after cleaning or washing), its ingredients won’t persist in waterways or soil, and means it reduces the risk of pollution in ecosystems.
Our bottles are made from locally collected plastic and are recyclable and refillable.
Refills and glass bottles are also available to reduce the number of bottles in circulation and minimize waste. By using recycled plastic, we have prevented 5.5 million new plastic bottles from entering circulation.

An initiative by the Oceanic Society, which pioneers nature-based tourism globally in pursuit of a mission to improve ocean health, the Critter Scholars Program provides youth from disadvantaged communities in the Bay Area with the opportunity to partake in enriching wildlife experiences and interactions. Our support of the Critter Scholars Program, offers enriching wildlife experiences to teens from disadvantaged communities. At Koala Eco, we believe our connection to nature is a wonderful and precious thing, informing how we think and live and also how we care for each other and the planet. This belief is so fundamental to the Koala Eco ethos that we even apply it to our team’s work schedule, encouraging everyone to spend two hours in nature each week as part of their paid work week. To further our mission to foster a connection with nature, we also sponsored People & Parks Foundation's #NaturePact initiative. #NaturePact encouraged people, businesses, schools, and organisations to commit to spending intentional time in nature daily for a month, bringing transformative benefits to mental health, energy, and well-being. The aim was to encourage as many people as possible to connect more with the outdoor world. This aligned perfectly with our mission to encourage people to bring more nature into their everyday lives. Running over four weeks, each with a nature-based theme, the campaign highlights creative and inspiring ways to celebrate the joy, mental health and well-being benefits of connecting with nature.
