The Sunday Reset - Inspired by Mandarin [Citrus reticulata]

A guide to embracing the new week

Sweet. Sunny. Joyful.

The scent of mandarin is like a burst of sunshine, chasing the clouds away. And it’s also good at chasing away any dark moods.

So many of our products feature this star performer, because the oil of Citrus reticulata has really effective cleansing properties. And it’s also the ‘happy’ oil.

A ritual reset

Banish any Sunday blues by using some of our Natural Floor Cleaner direct on a wet cloth to wipe dust from wooden furniture. While working its cleansing magic on your home, the scent of mandarin and peppermint will also get to work on your senses, and help even out and uplift your mood.

A nature reset

Did you know that simply looking at greenery can boost mental health? Scientists have actually studied people’s eye-tracking in a variety of environments.  Participants who focused more on green (natural) elements reported significant improvements in mood and reductions in anxiety compared to those who focused on grey (man-made) elements.

So go focus on greenery!

Thought for the week

“Go to the sea-shore, to the mountains, to the wilderness; go anywhere where you can forget your cares and cast aside your burdens … let the old, old nurse, Nature … take you to her bosom again; and you will return to the city happier and healthier for the embrace.”

William H. H. Murray, Ministerial Vacations: Their Necessity and Value
