The Sunday Reset - Inspired by Lemon Scented Eucalyptus

A guide to embracing the new week. Inspired by Lemon Scented Eucalyptus [Eucalyptus maculata citriodora

Vivid. Citrusy. Purifying.

Birds and bees love everything about this graceful Australian tree: the flowers, the nectar and its honeyed lemon scent.

We love it because its oil is an excellent deodoriser and air purifier, and has terrific antiseptic and antifungal properties.

A ritual reset

Doing laundry on a Sunday need not be a chore when your home can be filled with the aroma of Lemon Scented Eucalyptus and Rosemary: both key ingredients in one of our Natural Laundry Washes. Drying white sheets in full sun is also a great way of brightening them.

A nature reset

Starting today, take a small notebook and a pen on every Sunday walk. Find a place to sit, listen, and pay attention. Write down whatever you feel, hear, see, feel. If you find an interesting leaf or fruit, draw its shape. Explore and connect to nature through your own senses and creativity.

Thought for the week

The poetry of the earth never ceases

Ceasing — one blade of grass denies belief

Until its mere thread bears the grasshopper’s

Whole weight, and the black cricket sings unseen,

Desire living in a hole beneath the tangle’s green.

From ‘The Cricket and the Grasshopper’ by Dan Beachy-Quick
