Let nature make your day on October 10th

Let nature make your day on October 10th

What will you be doing on World Mental Health Day? Going to work, juggling commitments with family, trying not to think about all the deadlines piling up?

In other words, your Thursday October 10th could be very similar to the day before or after: crammed with busy 21st century life and all of its demands on your time and energy.

If that’s the case, on World Mental Health Day try to do one healing thing for yourself. Rain or shine, make time to get outside to your closest park, your balcony, your backyard, and feel the fresh air on your face. Or if it’s possible, walk the kids to school, noticing and naming all the trees. Make time to pick up some flowers or foliage for your home, so your rooms are filled with their scent. If you live somewhere you’re able to see the stars, take a cup of tea or something stronger and spend a few moments looking up and wondering at the miracle of the cosmos. Take a moment connecting to one of the greatest healing powers known to humankind: nature.

Of course, we’d recommend doing something like this each and every day, at the very least. But we don’t want any more pressure to be part of your daily life. This World Mental Health Day, wherever you are, and whatever you’re doing, we wish you peace of heart and mind.
