‘Green time’ in Sydney and Minnesota

‘Green time’ in Sydney and Minnesota

New places to find Koala Eco

They may be over 14,000km apart and on different continents, yet the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney have a few things in common.

Thousands of plant and tree species. Acres of prime real estate in a city setting. World-renowned research programs, advancing our understanding of conservation and ecosystem resilience. And now, Koala Eco products stocked on the shelves of their retail stores.

The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, established in 1816 on the traditional lands of the Gadigal people, is Australia's oldest botanic garden and scientific institution. Apart from being a favourite of Sydneysiders, it’s also a must-see destination for visitors, with its proximity to Sydney Harbour and the famous Opera House. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum stands on the lands of the Dakota (Sioux) people, on the outskirts of Minneapolis. It was founded in 1958 and attracts nearly 700,000 visitors a year.

We’re so delighted our range has found homes as part of these amazing institutions, which do such important work in exploring and interpreting humanity’s connection and interdependence with nature. Places like these are among the most precious resources we have in the 21st century, helping us all to learn up close about the power, variety and sheer ingenuity of the natural world.

Whether you spend one or many repeated hours in incredible gardens and landscapes like these, nature will put you under its spell every time; and every time will feel different. It’s why we pay our Koala Eco team members to take an hour each week to nurture their connection with nature.  As one of our team observed, this is an opportunity to spend some restorative ‘green time.’ And if you need to restock with Koala Eco, two more places where you can!
